Knight Frank: Multimillionaires’ amount in Russia rises 27% in 2017

MOSCOW, Mar 7 (PRIME) – The number of people with wealth of over U.S. $5 million rose 27% in 2017 to 38,100 people as of the end of the year, consulting company Knight Frank said on Wednesday in The Wealth Report 2018.

The combined wealth of Russian multimillionaires stood at $1.2 trillion in 2017, which is equal to 73.5% of Russia’s gross domestic product in the year.

The number of ultra-rich people with the capital of over $50 million in Russia stood at 2,620 in 2017, or 2% of the world’s combined figure, the company said.
